another healthy habit
I've been taking the stairs exclusively, both up and down, for... how long has it been now?  Just over five weeks, I think.  And although I don't feel like I'm making progress quickly enough, I'm going to stick with it for a bit longer.  I think I'll work on picking up another healthy habit, too.  Brandi and Liz have been telling me I should eat breakfast, so I figure that'll be my next healthy habit to pick up.  I know I've tried it before and failed, but... um... this time will be different?  Sure, I'll go with that! :)  Consider yesterday my start date.

So I've got Oct 12, 2004 for the stairs and Nov 17, 2004 for breakfast.

In other news...

I should be getting my gas bill soon.  I checked the meter last night to see how much I'd used since the last bill.  Let's just say I'm going to be dialing the heat down a little bit more!  I adjusted the schedules a little, too, so the heat doesn't cut on as early or stay on as late.  I meant to go down to the basement and nudge the hot water temp down a little more, but forgot this morning.

I need a haircut.  Really bad.  Been saying that for too long already.

Still haven't decided if I'll go anywhere for Thanksgiving, but I think I'll stay home this time and mooch off of friends.  So it'll be like any other day, except with holiday food. :)

you know, i don't know for sure, but i like to think i have something to do with that whole stairs thing...

...i could really use 11 flights to mess around with...
Let's trade! :) I'm just kidding. It's not so bad. I made my coworker LaShonda take the stairs with me down and back up earlier today. It made me much more aware of my own progress. She said she's going to do the stairs with me again tomorrow.

anyway, keep it up, breakfast too, your heart will love you. :)
It better! I've had friends tell me I should work out and lift weights and do this or do that... blah, blah, blah... and they may be right, maybe I should do those things, but I figure there's so many little things that I should be doing and that's all I should worry about for now. Maybe I'll get to the point someday where I go work out at the gym or maybe I won't, but I should at least incorporate some exercise and healthy living into my daily routine.
