bye-bye apartment!
I have locked the door to my apartment for the last time! I dropped the keys in the slot at the leasing office earlier today and I am done!

I went over this morning to load up the car with the last bit of stuff from the apartment and clean, clean, clean. About four and a half hours later, I was finally done. I got all the cleaning supplies except for the vacuum cleaner loaded in the car. I called Bekah's friend Michelle, who lives in the building just behind my apartment building, and she's going to keep the vacuum for me until she comes over on Saturday to see the house. She wanted to see how the apartment looked now that I was done with it and, believe it or not, I got a lot of praise from her for how clean the place was. And she said I didn't just do a great job for a guy, but a great job for anybody. :) So that made me feel good. I really put a lot of effort into getting the place as clean as I possibly could. I vacuumed twice, mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors, wiped down the walls and, in the bathroom, the ceiling over the shower, too. I cleaned the stove and under the stove top, cleaned the refrigerator, and... well, the point is, I tried to be as thorough as possible and I think I managed to pull that off.

So I just got out of the bathtub. I feel a lot better for having the bath. I'll probably want another tonight, though. My muscles ache. Now I need to settle in! No, wait... now I need to eat and rest and take it easy. I'll work on getting settled in a little later.

kind strange isn't it when we clean our best only when it isn't for us? :-)

Yeah, I know. I'm hoping I'll have company over on a more regular basis if for no other reason than to motivate me to keep the place clean and organized! :)

Hey look at this:

It says that most of 24's stars won't be there or will be only part time actors in the next season.

Maybe it's good... I don't know. I was rather disappointed with the finale. They left so many loose ends... like what happens to Tony, etc. I mean... they don't need to keep the story hanging like that to bring us back to watch the new season! We'd do that anyway! Plus once upon a time, finales were meant to provide an *ending* not leave the story short of its solution with more or less the equivilant of a "to be continued..."

Congrats on the house! I'm starting to feel slow, I've been where I am for 6 months and I felt fine getting an apartment but now I know 3 of my friends here who have closed on a new house and I think, I must be missing something.
