busy week, with lots of politics!
I had Jim Thomas from the old church over on Saturday. Hung out with Khan on Sunday. Aaron was in town and finally saw the house on Monday. Watched the VP Debate with some friends on Tuesday. What did I do yesterday? I'm going to a anti-Bush film fest today. And I've got a debate party planned for tomorrow!

As fun as it is to get together with people and talk politics and watch the debates, I must say that I'll be very glad when the election is over. I think. I hope. Oh God, please let Kerry win so I can at least have some hope of not getting worked up over something stupid the current administration has done!

In other news... I need my furnace fixed. I had someone out to look at it and I could describe to you what the problem is, but I don't feel like it right now. I'll get it fixed soon. In the meantime, I discovered I can hook my vacuum cleaner up to it to get it working, so I'm not freezing or anything. Idiot that I am, I forgot to look at the home warranty when I got home yesterday despite repeatedly saying that I would. I'll try to remember to do that when I get home tonight and get the furnace taken care of.

And I still have to call a plumber. A co-worker of mine was going to recommend one for me and I reminded him yesterday, but I don't think he'll remember. I should send him an email reminder, but I'll probably end up picking one of the phone book.

I think I'll get some fire wood and test out the fireplace in the basement sometime this weekend if I'm not too busy. Oooh... I wanna get some marshmallows! :-)

I'm feeling sleepy for some reason. I need to clean tonight. Perhaps I'm feeling sleepy so I can use that as an excuse to not clean? ;-)

You jerk!
I saw your music selection!

Anyway, you did nadda yesterday, nothing. No thing.

At least, that was the plan when I talked to you.

I'll be glad when the election is over myself. It's too much thinking for me.

You jerk!
That was rather harsh!

Is there a problem? What do you have against the cosmos that makes you hate champagne supernovas? :-P

I'm sure I did something! Actually, I went to the pet store yesterday for cat food and litter and then went grocery shopping and picked up a cherry pie to put in the oven for the debate party. Oh, I mean, I bought stuff to make a cherry pie myself from scratch. Yeah. Take that, Liz! I think it'll go well with some ice cream.

It seems everyone is ready for a break! Megan says she's going on a news fast after the election. I think I may do the same. I just hope I'll have the peace of mind after the election to feel like I can take a break from it, you know?

Re: You jerk!
I'm sorry, I just had to come back to this... healthy cookies? Why must people ruin a good bad thing by trying to make it "healthy"!? Some things aren't supposed to be good for you! That's why you like them! *sigh*

I absolutely refuse to put anything healthy (that's not supposed to be) on my plate.

I will eat cookies off of other people's plates.

Re: You jerk!
See the problem arises when you want to eat something not healthy and you can't. Then you get all depressed and want to jump off a building.

So, you can have A) people jumping off buildings, or b) healthy alternative foods.

I pick choice B.

Anyway, if they taste just as good, what difference does it make to you nonhealthy person if they're healthy?

HA!

Re: You jerk!
See, you shouldn't have told me they were "healthy" cookies until after I ate one and told you how it tasted. Now I've got it in my head that they're going to taste "healthy". And if you aren't careful I'm going to start assuming everything she makes is healthy.
